This is the beginning of my Baking Class. I will be doing each exercise in a series of three posts. Each post will be one step.
Select/Find A Recipe & Type the Ingredients Here:
The recipe is Basic White Bread. The ingredients are:
10-12 ounces water
1 3/4 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons butter/margarine/oil
4 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast.
Do you have the Ingredients (and the right amounts)?
Yes.
Do you have the necessary tools? List them:
Yes, I have a scale, teaspoon measures, tablespoon measures, and cup measures.
If the ingredients are not on hand - go shopping for the ingredients, create a table/chart and detail how much each item costs. (Item Name (including brand), Size, Price for that Size). Where did you purchase these ingredients? Are the ingredients all available at readily available stores or are they specialty items available only in specific stores?
We have all ingredients. The ingredients are common items available at a Wal*Mart.
Just a note as we iron out the details. We used only 1 1/2 tsp salt, and used all purpose flour and not bread flour. So be sure to correct those items in the future. :) Also - you also need a bread machine :) .. don't think we used a scale.
ReplyDeleteGood job on this step.
